2WAYS Science Parliament for students
Science Centre AHHAA carried out Science Parliament, where 16 19 year old students discussed an extremely important HIV/AIDS issue in Estonia.
It`s a virus like any other, but for some reason people think that HIV is somewhere out there and doesn`t concern themselves.
During one day, Parliament members had opportunity to make up their minds about the topic through hearings, proposals and votings. And finally in Aprill 2010, together we tried to find answers to some questions, like: How HIV affects our lives? What can we do to minimize the negative impact?
Program also involved educational movie Wake up! in AHHAA 4D Adventure Cinema. Film is made in Estonia by students of Tartu Art College and describes HIV infecting process.
Read more information about the movie here.
Through these activities we picked two students who will participate in the European Science Parliament Final Event in Brussels in December 2010.
