If the answer is yes then you had better hurry to Science Centre AHHAA in Tallinn where you will be able to see a new and exciting music exhibition called "Ahhaa, the Sound of Physics!" from 10th of May 2012.
This exhibition created in the Finnish science centre Heureka is designed to open visitors' ears and minds to a multidisciplinary take on music. Visitors will be able to produce sound and music using different instruments and techniques, learn about the physical properties of sound and study the effects of music on their bodies.
The exhibition is fully hands-on. Visitors will be able to play a giant's panpipe, an air guitar and a neverending piano, beat an invisible drum and test their musicality. In addition, songs from various communities around the world can be listened to and the sound of the same pieces of music played on a wax cylinder and on a CD can be compared.
The music exhibition has been produced in close cooperation with the Sibelius Academy, University of Helsinki/musicology; Helsinki University of Technologys laboratory of acoustics and sound processing; the
Finnish Music Information Center and Cartes Art and businesses, among others.
The exhibition is aimed at families and school groups alike.
There is no need to be able to hold a tune to visit the exhibition since, as you will surely see for yourself - anyone can play music!
